Plastic surgery[edit source]

Ummph. I liked this idea when I first got it, but I'm not a great judge of the quality of the end product. Is it too obvious? Too morbid? I need some suggestions. --THE 00:15, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

Humour: 6.7 avg of each section
  • Intro [8]

Yes, the premise is kinda confusing, but I can see what you're trying to do here. Plastic surgery is made fun of so often that it's refreshing to see a few new jokes already in this article italics.

  • 1 Origins [6]

I like the "made in god's image" joke, but the rest was a little weird. It was a head scratcher, really, because I never really thought of "plastic surgery" as a thing that had to be invented by a single person. It's not morbid, it's a funny idea basically.

  • 2 Early success [7]

It's still a head scratcher, but because I know what direction you're taking the article now, it makes sense that a male teacher would kick someone out of his class for split ends. I notice that you think plastic surgery is just for women, THE, and maybe that's incorrect?

  • 3 Plastic Surgery becomes a national phenomenon [7]

Same idea: he kills women and replaces them with dolls, and same execution: today's society is so obsessed with their looks that they will kill themselves to look better. So now that I get the formula (it's a good formula, by the way), let's hope that you don't stretch it out too long.

  • 4 Dr. 90210 [8]

Ah, you added a TV show into the mix! Awesome.

  • 5 The stain controversy [6]

Not that interesting, really, compared with everything else that's going on in this here article.

  • 6 Effect on family life [5]

Meh, even less exciting.

Concept: 8 "Is it too obvious? Too morbid?" For me, it gets too obvious at the fourth (3 Plastic Surgery becomes a national phenomenon) out of seven sections (if you include the introduction). It never got "too morbid"! In fact, it's not really morbid at all, which was somewhat of a let down! Could you please add some gross-ness to the equation, THE? Maybe you're too sensitive to killing, but as the writer of the somewhat offensive Why?:Cancer is Great, I have to say that this, uh, isn't offensive.
Prose and formatting: 6 Notice how it's just a bunch of blocks of text? That's bad on the ol' eye strain. Break up your huge paragraphs, and then we'll talk.

Images: 5 You scrounged that image from that "Why?Have big bosoms" article, didn't you? That's the only picture you could come up with? Add some pics of, like, blow up dolls and so forth.
Miscellaneous: 6.4 {{Pee|6.7|8|6|5}}
Final Score: 32.1 I was excited when I read that it might be too morbid! When my expectation wasn't reached, I might not have been as fair in my scoring as maybe I should have been. I think that's why your final score is maybe slightly lower than it should be, but be that as it may, maybe you should try to make this article obscene and morbid like you were planning to do. I HOPE I HELPED, THE!!!
