Hans Blix and the Weapons Inspectors[edit source]

i know i already have an entry under review, but now that there's so many reviewers and so few reviewees, i figured, 'what the hell'? true story. anyway, i definitely need images for this one, so recommendations on that front would be great, as well as the usual stuff. --SirGerrycheeversGunTalk 02:24, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Mine ! (UNDER REVIEW) Finnius.png

Humour: 7 This was good. Intellectually funny. But that is the reason I think it might fall on deaf ears here. It funny in a subtle way. I had problems promoting something of mine in the same style. Maybe yours will be received better.
Concept: 7 This is my personal score. It may be a bit obscure for the average person, tho. I mean, I get it right away, but I also do quite a bit of study on U.S. foreign and domestic policy. An interesting juxtapositioning as well.
Prose and formatting: 7 It sort of reads more like an UnNews article, imho. Was that the format you were going for?
Images: 5 Only the one image, which is ok in that placement. Perhaps you could get one of the image-gurus here at Un to whip you up a pic of Hans 'rocking out' with some Middle Eastern site (or ruined buildings) in the background...
Miscellaneous: 6.5 average of the above 4...I never really understood why this misc. section even exists.
Final Score: 32.5 See below

This was a particularly hard review to do. On one hand, I was reading it for my own pleasure, on the other, I was trying to think about what people tend to like here. I feel this article is probably a bit high-brow for some. Like I said above, the humor is a bit more subtle. Also, a basic knowledge of the circumstances of the whole 'weapon inspector' debacle would be needed. along with some basic knowledge of the players involved. Unfortunately, I don't think too many here would vote for VFH for these reasons. But hell...I could very well be wrong, and am under-estimating the other individuals here.

As for suggestions for improvement...It depends on what another reviewer thinks, honestly. But if a 'dumbing down' process is what they suggest would make for a better received piece, then unfortunately it would really be hard to do that. We are talking about HANS here. I think 'Pop Rocks' would be the most excitement he has encountered in the last decade.

I'm sorry if you feel i am shooting down your story, i thing it's good, myself. This type of humor is something i can appreciate. I can think of quite a few more 'cute' things to do with it, like adding more interactivity between real events that happened and the "band's" escapades/tour. IF another reviewer thinks it also is too 'subtle'...here is an idea for a switch: Make it look like a FAN's WEBSITE PAGE....with her (gotta be a girl) comments intersparsed ("OMG, the U.N. is like, being TOTALLY UNFAIR...and doesn't Kofi look uber-hot in that pic of them standing in front of the munitions dump?")...just an idea i'm throwing out there, maybe it could give you a jump-start to something or other.

I have created another table here, for purposes of garnering a 2nd review...I think perhaps you might need a second opinion.
