Further to the above: I don't like this format in the least. Most UnNews submissions give a story more than a paragraph or two. More importantly, this story is totally from the point of view of the reporter--that is, a make-believe reporter to whom the biggest news is to show Mom that he is a reporter. Indeed, that was the general idea. It was an attempt to attack newsflashes (which was why the stories were very short) as well as retrospective news simultaneously, and thus was highly experimental. I had hoped that the attack on news reports that seem to be subtly saying, "This happened, we saw it, and we were the first to tell you about it, therefore you should love us," would be subtle but clear, and I seem to have either failed in the latter, or succeeded too much in the former. It was, admittedly, terribly experimental for once single article, and the idea is entirely undeveloped and needs extensive work. Sir Not A Good Username360 KUN 19:16, April 11, 2010 (UTC)

Oops, one of my persistent problems with alternate-point-of-view articles is my failure to realize that they are alternate-point-of-view and on purpose. However, I still say (1) seemingly egocentric articles, like (2) extreme opinions provided to ridicule the extreme right, and (3) extreme opinions provided to ridicule the extreme left, should be avoided. They are too hard to tell from the real thing, because there exist people who would write the same thing in complete seriousness. Spıke ¬ 19:35 11-Apr-10
