Television viewers the world over writhed and howled in despair at the news that hit show Big Bang Theory may finish in just three seasons - meaning fans have just 72 more episodes to enjoy.
President of the Big Bang Fan Club Joanna Corey explained the show's charm: "There's Leonard - he's a nerd but he's like the most self-aware of the three boys. And he goes out with Penny - she's kind of ditzy but she's really funny and pretty too.
"Then there's Sheldon and Amy - they are like these super-freaky academic types. They're a couple, they have been together for about 50 episodes, and they never kiss or do anything. It's so funny.
"And finally we have Howard and Penny. Howard is Jewish, and like uber geeky and pervy. And he always shouts at his mom, who is supposed to be really fat, but we never see her! And Amy is like this little girl with big tits and a high voice.
"It's soooooo freaking funny, if they ever get rid of this, I will effing die! I swear, the idea that there are just 36 more hours of new episodes to come makes me want to cry right now."
