Talk:Friday (song)

This is all complete bullshit and Bob Dylan never recorded such a thing. I own 56/56 of Dylan's albums and own 4 books written on or by Dylan. In none of the albums nor the books does the song Friday ever come up. It sickens me that people would dare claim that such an amazing artist wrote such a shitty song... – Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.83.216.229 (talk • contribs)

whine whine whine. i'm sure the dylster has a sense of humor (not that i or any of us ever expect him to see this), so why can't you? stop putting musicians on pedestals. --Roman Dog Bird 17:52, July 7, 2011 (UTC)

You need a mention of the fact its about JFK's shooting as much as anything (meaning is still being debated today) which was on Friday.

Sheer Brilliance[edit source]

I commend the author(s) for this article as it is a shining piece of clever brilliance. The encyclopedic tone is unmatched by what I've read on Uncyclopedia so to a dimwit would actually believe it. As a Dylan fan of years myself, I knew it was a fake from the start. But it was a brilliant, hilarious piece from the start, and was a superb April Fools joke (and I would rather listen to the fake Dylan parody cover than the egregiously terrible original mind you). This article is almost believable and is so witty that I think that if the author(s) a bit more content, I think it would make an excellent candidate for feature on the front page. And nice touch with the civil rights BS. Again, I applaud the witty genius that wrote this and wish them the best.--173.242.176.6 13:03, April 2, 2011 (UTC)

Might I commend the additions to this entry!--Jokerman 14:23, April 2, 2011 (UTC)

If the original author of this piece comes back, kudos to you sir. I hope you like the additions and polishing. Maybe it can be featured, and we can share credit for bringing a very good piece to the readers. You've done very well. Aleister 16:05 3-4-'11

Dylan's version[edit source]

Does anyone else think Dylan's "version" is really good? --Black Flamingo 09:01, April 7, 2011 (UTC)

During the writing I listened to "Dylan's" at least half a dozen times to get the lyrics right, and it's very good. Stuck in my brain. I can't get it out! Help me. Send me drugs. But yes, it is really good, and if the studio had the brains of a gnat they'd sign this guy and release this version too. Well, I'm lookin' forward to the weekend. On drugs. Aleister 9:26 7-4-'11
p.s. Just listened to it again. Soothing. I like when he says "cereal". Only criticism is he should have played harmonica somewhere during the song, but maybe the guy doesn't know how to play harmonica. That blows, not knowing how to play harmonica. That really blows.
p.s. After seeing Black's video again, and fitting it into this page's explanation of the song, it was realllllyy good. Nice. 14:45 7-4-'11
Dylan's "version" was a decent impersonation and is definitely better than Black's original. Have to admit I really enjoyed Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon's version.--Jokerman dance to the nightingale tune, bird fly high by the light of the moon...Respond 13:50, April 7, 2011 (UTC)

Bob Dylan wrote Friday[edit source]

I didn't know Bob Dylan was the original writer for the widely panned 'Friday' song. Wow, so the song lyrics really does hold some meaning back in History. Interesting. Has to be one of the few times Uncyclopedia did not wrote rubbish on its articles, an improvement this time. Keep it up! 202.156.10.13 05:36, July 2, 2011 (UTC)
