I figured that since I'm going to be busy at work soon, I'd give y'all a heads up. There's been a good amount of advert spam coming from various and sundry IPs. They're rather insidious and come off looking like blank pages. As such, I've been working at banning them as they come up, but it's pretty frequent right now.

It's 1 pt font that basically has the text: "Excuse for my post but I do not have money to buy meal to my children. Forgive me please."

They were blacklisted at 19:46 UTC by Mindspillage for attacks on memory alpha. I added the second link to the blacklist just now. Anytime there is a spam attack going on, go into the Wikia IRC (see Uncyclopedia:Chat, although go into #wikia instead of #Uncyclopedia) and report it. Any one of these or these users can add to the list, and many of them hang out on IRC. --Splaka 23:04, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

Except my problem was that while the attacks were going on yesterday, CGI:IRC wasn't working properly, and so I could maybe get one or two lines of text in/out occasionally, but it would die after about 45 seconds. Well, that is annoying. You can also use Wikia:Talk:Spam_Blacklist (but it is a bit slower). --Splaka 03:09, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
