An example of this crap movement

Vapor-Lit or Vapor-Literature is a "literary style" that emerged who knows when which serves only to fill the Internet with more useless nonsense shit.

Origins[edit | edit source]

Its origin is uncertain, however, it has certainly been influenced by Vaporwave and other types of internet art, being first noted in some random posts on Reddit. Because it's such an awful movement, even 4chan users ostracize any publication related to Vapor-Literature.

Features[edit | edit source]

The main characteristic of this movement is the ultra-fast publishing of raw ideas, experimental essays, experimental poetry, and experimental graphic novels. Another feature is the "deconstruction" of literary classics, such as the "vaporization" (whatever that means) of works such as "Moby Dick" and "Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde". Some say they are "aesthetic versions" of such classics (but nope!). The books of this style are marked by endless repetitions of words, sentences, paragraphs, and entire pages, and the texts are filled with spacing and Russian/Japanese characters. The classics are turned into illegible, meaningless, and incomplete stories. Indeed, Vapor-Literature is another giant crap produced by the Internet.
