User talk:WiWiJumbo
You haven't been left with an automated welcome template, I see. No matter, you infer that you've already read the HTBFANJS guide, and referred to it slyly. If you think there is more to humour than what the guide suggests to new contributors, then that is the first step towards writing ground-breaking material. Not that there is much ground to break. --

Many read like a novelization of a bad sitcom; too many jokes, no real cleverness. Again, I hope to help, but there's so much silliness trying to pass for wit.--WiWiJumbo 03:38, March 24, 2010
- If any form of wit could easily be processed into a career, or indeed at least a sitcom (which is your standard, I presume), I fear no-one would contribute to this site. --
- Perhaps you do too much presuming. In any event, I accept that we all must take the bad with the good; such is the price of a wiki's great egalitarian spirit. I, too, accept that humor is a completely subjective enterprise, but don't you find that some people just aren't funny? It usually isn't a problem, but it is if they think they are funny (I'm talking to you, John Mayer). I apologize if I have somehow given you offense, but I can't imagine that you haven't had the same sense of frustration that I first alluded to.--WiWiJumbo 02:52, March 25, 2010 (UTC)
- Oh of course I have, but I got used to it. --
- I'm sure I will, too.--WiWiJumbo 02:05, March 26, 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, you seem to have some book learnin', so it's good to have you here. On the discussion, the site has upwards of 26,000 pages, and I've found much wheat among the chaff. One of my favorite activities here is to hit 'random page' a few times until something grabs my interest, then I do a few edits, add a pic and caption or two, and every once in awhile one jumps out for a rewrite. Take a look at The Camera Obscura Collection of Hans Helmuth Saltzman (1602-1668) for a page that I and a few others really love. It ranges from that to Poop throwing monkeys, another page I love. There are laughs in some odd corners here, and I have a feeling if you stick around you will provide plenty more. Aleister in Chains 2:37 26 3 mmx
- You're absolutely right; indeed, there's much more wheat to be found here than I first realized.--WiWiJumbo 02:43, March 26, 2010 (UTC)

I would like to amend my last comment above to say....no actually I should just erase my last comment, as the great leveling mediocrity of the Wiki format will inevitably turn any good article bad in due time. The people who really seem to run this site are the people I alluded to earlier: people who just aren't the least bit funny, but damn sure think they are. Read the fucking user pages of the halfwits that huff the pages you've worked to make better (not longer, not full of random swear words, but better). Nonsense after nonsense, page after page of idiocy and ego-stroking from and to other jackasses. Oh, well. Just to reiterate my main ranting point: if ever there was a funny article on this shit site, it's long gone now. Deleted or diluted, it makes no difference in the end. Fuck this place, and fuck every last moron who thinks writing gibberish is the same as writing a joke.--WiWiJumbo 03:54, July 30, 2011 (UTC)
