Thou art brave and talented!

Hey Lamoxlamae. I fixed some typos in your Iowa flood article. It was very funny-good job. Feel free to spot check my articles and soop 'em up if you want. Thanks! Smuggler

Hey! Thanks for the comment! I'm glad it came out well and is being received so well. :D I hope that any future articles I may write go over just as well, if not better. Take care, and I'll glance over your work soon. :) --Lamoxlamae 05:31, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

Grak![edit source]

Grraaak, you intrigue me and I am feverently hoping you are my long lost soul mate. Please tell us about yourself. Something about you brings out my sincere curiosity. Verp 06:00, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Hey there fuzzy fangy person. =^.^= My uncyclopedia page is basically a parody of myself (as best as I could, anyway). Parts of it are true (I do like spicy foods and people-watching, for example), parts are opposite of reality and played for comedic effect, and some parts are totally random (bomb Canada? Wrryyyy!?!?!?) for no good reason. Then again, 10+ years in the furry fandom tends to lead to an odd sense of humor, slight craziness, habitual (random) animal noises, and eccentricity so I guess that's to be expected. I'm not going to give everything away, though, as it would ruin all the fun!

Awww... cute... the sehlat likes me... :3 *scritchies behind the ears* Mrawr! Lamoxlamae 01:38, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

Verp purrs, looks and sniffs at you curiously. You sense he is gently showing you his thoughts, non judgmentally reading your mind. Don't worry, he's seen all sorts of minds and knows how to keep secrets. Verp is and a bit of what I would be like if my nature fit my personality. Also, not being human (in less he feels like it) he tends to be himself knowing full well he (or whatever sort thing Verp decides to be at the time) might accidentally offend someone. Due to my overactive imagination, he has a back story that would fill a Star Trek novel.

continues to pet the kitty-ish person I was guessing that somewhat as most furries pick fursonas based on likes and personality (Trekkie, perchance? I liked Next Gen and some of the Original.). =^.^= I actually have several fursonas, including but not limited to an undead bobcat (male), a scifi fox species I made up (both), a demon mouse (female), and a killer bunny-like unicorn or Al-Mi'raj (female or both). I tend to pinball between them all depending on mood, though I'm usually the androgynous version of the Al-mi'raj when running around online. They are all fun to play with, though, and I have written quite a bit about most of them at some point or another (even if through roleplaying). I also sometimes like to draw, though I don't have anything very new as I have no scanner right now.

I should start a VCL account. Verp is an odd creature, based on the sehlat seen in the old animated series. Being the only sehlat in furry, he tends to overreact in his loneliness (Grraaak, you intrigue me and I am feverently hoping you are my long lost soul mate.) when he meets new potential friends. Being from a planet other than Vulcan, I could give him his own characteristics. I figured he would be superficially catlike, but deep down rather canid in personality. He could survive eating just about anything. He could express himself in many odd sounds; many superficially cat like, including purring. He even had oval pupils. The foxes of his home world liked to hang around with sehlats, bordering on being domesticated. I like foxes. I went to a panel on red foxes at a furry con. Foxes are catlike, they even purr, among other numerous sounds, can survive eating just about anything . . . . Oh, okay, no wonder sehlats like foxes. Then someone on FurryMUCK invited me to become kitsune. I fount it too easy to be vulpine. Verp the vulpine? Had my subconscious known something more than ten years ago when I named him? It was like being hit in the face with a wet trout. He could even change form, read minds and was anthropomorphic. I had reinvented the kitsune.

Verp 06:09, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

I wouldn't quite say you reinvented the kitsune... considering that at best kitsune can possess people (and only if they're a spirit and not a live kitsune and often only if they're evil at that) and the shapechanging is imperfect (often ears or tails end up showing). It's amazing what changes between pop-culture and mythology sometimes. I almost ended up playing a kitsune, but after seeing how far from lore people get (most use "kitsune" as a reason to godmode) I'm glad I decided against it.

Heh, I know how it goes when you're playing a critter there none of- there is only 1 other person in the entire fandom playing an Al-mi'raj and she's one of his side characters. I just use the rarity as a reason to make up my own species traits and have fun with it. Nobody's any the wiser! :D I also get to make up history and more (though I borrow a lot form the shards of folklore I've gathered). Yeah, you can tell I'm bookish; it's all fun, though, and I learn so much random crap it's not even funny sometimes!

On a side note: Domesticated foxies! Did you know they have those in Russia? :D Lamoxlamae 06:34, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

I've been quiet because I have a life that prevents me from being more active in my other activities. I have heard about the domestic foxes, but judging from the behavior of many of the undomesticated foxes, they really didn't have that far to go. I've been using Verp being turned into a kitsune on FurryMUCK to do the sort of things a sehlat with a conscience the size of a small planet would do with kitsune abilities. As part of his back story, he returns to Star Fleet headquarters using kitsune powers to cross the dimensions between the FM cosmos and the Star Trek cosmos. He had been stranded in the FM cosmos for over ten years, as that is how long I've had him as a character there. He shows up completely nude and reports back for duty after completely vanishing without a trace more than ten years ago. That, combined with his demonstrating his new species and abilities made for the most unusual debriefing in Star Fleet history. Grak! Verp 05:16, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

It happens. ^.^;;

That sounds like a trippy backstory. I'll bet Starfleet learned a lot from that debriefing. =^.^=

Each of my main characters has a long backstory and has been up to different things lately. Calib is a cursed bobcat who has been undead for over 100 years. Despite being undead, he's actually a "good guy", unlike most of my other main characters. I'm working on a story for him, but I don't think he'll have much of a canon, unlike most of my other characters. Amy is a bored demon aristocrat who decided to come to the world in the form of a cute little mouse in order to tempt mortals into damnation. I'm thinking I might toss her out and see if I can corrupt more people when I have time to burn; she works best in a live environment and thus I haven't had time to corrupt anyone with her lately. Ashera is an Al-Mi'raj I generally just adapt to the scenario. Right now she's seducing the cop that was supposed to be helping her locate a kidnapped pet in order to be able to blackmail him for it later. It's OK, she has time to burn on the train ride to go find where the pet is being held.

Meanwhile in my corner of the world, I've been just idly roleplaying in between coding, work, and finishing up my parody of high Tail Hall for Uncyclopedia. I might also make a Confuciusisms generator based on the HTH tip jar I made, just because. Lamoxlamae 20:52, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
