In answer to your ramblings question[edit source]
- It's actually a scientific fact that the most homophobic people are themselves gay (no, really: look at people like Ted Haggard and that guy in your history class) and are trying too hard to be straight (wither or not this is what the want or what they think they should want is irrelevant). Another reason is simply that (many) people are closed minded and stick to what they know, seeing anything different as wrong. but the simplest and most frequent reason is that their religion tells them it's wrong (and if you believed - really believed - that sleeping with members of the same sex (consensually) was wrong and that you (or others) would be tortured forever in this place called Hell after death but in the meantime be putting your community at risk of God's wrath, wouldn't you hate gays too?) or just a stupid bigotry/political stance they inherit from their parents (see Nazis).
- but on your point "that we're all the same inside" I'm going to have to disagree: we are all different, both genetically (identical twins an exception) and consciously (as in we all have different experiences), thats what makes us human and individually unique. although if you meant that the love is the same, then yeah, you're probably right. --orian57 07:43, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
