Welcome![edit source]

Hello, DarkABC, and welcome to Uncyclopedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If not, the door's right over there... no, a little more to your left... yeah. Anyway, here are a few good links for people like you:

If you read anything at all, make it the above three links. If you want to find out more about Uncyclopedia or need more help with something, try these:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being an Uncyclopedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) or use the "sign" button (Button sig.png) above the edit box. This will automatically produce your name and the date.

At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:DarkABC/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.

If you want to write and don't know where to begin, consider contributing to Uncyclopedia's current colonization of the week, a group writing project to improve a single popular article. Anyone is welcome to contribute, so come help out!

If the current colonization doesn't suit your fancy, then browse our rewrite and idea categories. We have lots of articles just sitting around for someone to improve, so don't be afraid - dive right in!

If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Simply leave a message on an adopter's talkpage to join. Again, welcome!  ChiefjusticeDS 14:38, October 7, 2009 (UTC)

But if you're not, don't remove it. [MODUzOPERANDI, teh] 09:46 October 8
I have, and replaced it with a construction tag so it has a week because I'm feeling unusually noob-friendly this morning. If DarkABC can think up some jokes and a bit more to the story, I'll continue helping him by converting it into proper English grammar. Come on DarkABC - we can do it! Adding images: :I have no idea of what you'd like to add. However, it's easy for you to add them. Select your picture and save it on your computer, then click the Upload Image link on the left of your screen and follow the instructions - use jpegs to save server space. When you want to add it to your page, use this code [[File:NAMEOFIMAGE.jpg|thumb|200px|CAPTION]]. By changing the figure beore px, you can alter the image's size and by writing left| after 200px| you can make the image appear on the left of the page rather than on the right. If that's not quite the answer to what you were asking me - of if you want to ask anything else - you know where I am. :-) Rabbi Techno Icons-flag-gb.png kvetch Icon rabbi.gif Contribs Foxicon.png FOXES 09:16, October 14, 2009 (UTC)

How to Upload New Image[edit source]

I try to upload ten time but failed all time i can't do.but how did I put Summary,Source filename,Destination filename,Licensing.how ican upload suceesful if you ask me about upload. User:DarkABC 10:48PM, October 14, 2009 (UTC)

Right, let's have a look and I'll try to guide you through the process. First, find the image you want to upload and save it to your computer (Desktop or My Pictures is the usual place in which to store images).
  • Click "Upload Image."
  • Note the permitted file types - most of the common image files are permissable with the exception of bitmaps (.bmp) because they're large and take up a lot of server space. You'll need to make sure yours is one of the permitted ones, such as .jpg or .png. If it isn't, use Photoshop or whichever image editing software you have to convert it into one of the permitted types (it'll give you various options when you save the image).
  • Click "Browse," which is next to the "Source Filename" box and find the image on your computer. I'm using one called upload0001.jpg as an example. Once you've found it, double-click on it and the name will appear in the "Source Filename" box along with a shorter version in the "Destination Filename" box.
  • Add a short description of what the image is and why you're adding it to the "Summary" box. There's no need for detail - something like "Image for Siam-Sith Empire article" will be fine.
  • Don't worry about the "Licensing" box - in most cases, people have no idea of what license any image they upload is used under anyway.
  • If there's already an image with the same name, a warning will appear. Check the existing image, as it'll often be a duplicate of the one you're trying to upload. If it's different, change the name of yours otherwise yours will appear in place of the existing one (and will probably be out of context in any articles it appears within, which woun't make you very popular).
  • Click "Upload File" and wait to be taken to the image. The one I've used is now here.
Here it is!
  • It's easiest to copy and paste the image title when you want to use it - for example, I've copied and pasted the name of the one I've used as an example into this code - [[File:Upload0001.jpg|thumb|100px|Here it is!]]. If I then use that code, the image will appear as it has done to the right of this text.

Hopefully, that'll work for you. If not, feel free to ask me again and we'll see if we can find the problem. :-) Rabbi Techno Icons-flag-gb.png kvetch Icon rabbi.gif Contribs Foxicon.png FOXES 10:45, October 15, 2009 (UTC)

Helloooooooooooooo![edit source]

And there was something else I said about uploading images over here in case you missed it. Welcome to the community. As part of our welcoming procedures we strive to find out what the likelihood is of you getting sex through here, so obviously we need to know your name, age, address, phone number, sexual preference, credit card details, your account number, a naked photo of yourself and your partner (if you have one) and your mother.
