Staring at the machine, you avow that you will not be of an impatient mind, and plant yourself firmly in your chair, ready to outlast the device before you. Your will shall not be bested.
But damn, the device's sure doing a good job of trying. Its "resuming Windows" bars go across the screen, single-file, in such a tedious display as to bring one to tears. It almost seems to be as determined as you in this waiting game.
