> Climb to Street Level You push the manhole aside and climb up to the street. Several passerby scream in terror at the sight of you and flee with horrified expressions. Is it because you are pointing a shotgun at their heads, or is it because you are covered with slime and filth, and the stench of the sewers clings to you like mice do to cheese. You're standing before the security gate of a glitzy-looking enclosed neighbourhood. Just beyond the rows of posh white houses, you can make out the surprisingly natural-looking lake. To the east, the street has been blocked off by several barricades and a sign reading, 'Road Work in Progress'.
