> Go to the airport.
The two policemen drive you to the airport, on the way giving you sixteen new shotgun shells.
> Whew! Don't know how much longer I could have lasted without those babies!
You need to see someone. Anyway, it looks like you've made it to:
Chapter 4: Going Global
> About friggin' time. Inventory.
You've got: A shotgun and sixteen shells; Ronalds' sword, which is now electrically powered from acting as a lightning rod; a Summon Grue scroll; three first class tickets you don't deserve; a $50,000 expense account you won't know how to use; and a gas mask, bulletproof vest and combat pants and boots that serve absolutely no practical purpose.
> Your editorials aren't even funny anymore.
Meh to you with knobs on. Anyway, you've reached the airport. The officers drop you off, and you step into the lengthy, bustling place filled with all the pre-thrill of the anticipating adventurer.
> 'Pre-thrill'?
It's period slang. Look, the point is you've entered the airport, and with so little time left before your flight, you immediatley make your way to the checkout. The guards, naturally, eye you with severe suspicion. And no wonder, really; dressed like that, the only way you could seem more attention-seeking is by adding a tutu.
In any case, the guards indicate that you should step through the metal detector. You do so, and naturally, you set it off. The guards promptly search you, and of course immediately find your shotgun and Ronalds' sword.
A whistle blows, and in a scant few seconds you're surrounded on all sides by at least twenty guards. If you really expected anything else after coming to the airport carrying all that, you're more unevolved than I thought.
One of the guards, apparently the captain, steps toward you. "Well, well, well." he says, surveying your weaponry. "Care to explain this, sir?"
Hope you've sharpened your wit this morning. How do you reply?
