P0w3r City, New York -- I am unsure weather or not I am pleased(or not) to announce that the new version of Dragon Ball Z, known as Dragon Ball Z Kai, will soon be featured in America on May 24, 2010 on...Nickelodeon! This has startled many fans, but I and others are left to wonder, what of it? Is it a good thing that it will be on Nickelodeon and not Cartoon Network? or is it a very very naughty thing!?
Cartoon Network, now know as CN, has lately been very disappointing with programming and censoring desicions, according to "CN", they think it is better to air Canadian imports like Johnny Test and 6teen and Live action than air good old anime, or even good old American cartoons, like Looney Tunes and all the good Cartoon Network originals from the early part of this decade. As far as I am concerned, which is very little, I could careless, that was until I discovered that this could set the cartoon balance of cool vs. lame outta wack. Nickelodeon has often been referred to as second to CN, but now it might switch and completely fuck up the econemy. Now wait, how could this mess up the economy? Well, the sorce of money and merchandise will change from the former power house, CN, to Nick, then we would have a cartoon stalk market crash and Barak Obama will have to sign a Cartoon Bailout to help children recover from mass confusion of what is now good and what is now bad, and if that bill failed to pass, then the U.S. would face another recession, then a depression, then we would send our troops to conquer the world and steal money and technology from foreign nations and then world war 4 would begin(we are currently in 3) then a nuclear holocaust would accure and almost everything and every one will be dead or destroyed, and the survivors would have complications, mutations, and cancers from the radiation leaving humanity with no hope, so please, Nickelodeon, please dont let this happen.
Your probably thinking, what does one show have to do with all this? The answer is simple, my stupid friend, Dragon Ball Z back in 1996-2005 was the main attraction on Cartoon Network, it had the most ratings, a bigger fan base, and most of all, it was a culture influence to the imitatable youth of America. Dragon Ball Z was the only reason why cartoon Network was a great channel back in the day. If it wasnt for DBZ, then Cartoon Network would have just been another face in the crowd. Now it is the most hated face, in the cartoon crowd.
On the other hand, I could just be very wrong and exajerative.. It may be a good thing, even back when Cartoon Network was good, they still censored a little more than nessecary, Nickelodeon might actually have a clue, and leave Dragon Ball Z Kai untampered with. It could be an era of new, revamped, old school television that would be shown to a younger, stupider, less fortuenet auddiance and could give them a taste of the good old days of Cartoon History.
Over all, Dragon Ball is back, but if the world ends due to its host, then...Shit.
