The Length of an object, in it's simplest definition, can be determined by measuring from one end to the other end. However, determining which bit to start from and which bit to end at is where things get a little shaky.

The Basics[edit | edit source]

Defining the length of a line is about as simple as it can get. Grab a pen and a piece of paper, now put the pen to paper and proceed to drag it around for a while. Now stop and lift. You have yourself a nifty line.

Philosophy[edit | edit source]

Many philosophers have pondered the deeper meaning of "length". "What if.." they say, "..there was no beginning OR end? How then could length be determined? If something has no start, and no end, then does it really have a length? And therefore, does it really even exist?"

These sort of statements have angered moibus strip enthusiasts, who insist that the beginning and the end one and the same, and that using the principle to question existence is ridiculous.
