Drop parties or n00b-fests are ways of broadcasting yourself by joking around on YouTube or ticking off n00bs. They are held on RuneScape and entail yelling around Varrock:

and then the n00bs that follow the host of the drop party, screaming:

or

Selling tinderbox 1k

When the host reaches the place the drop party will be held (the Venue), he begins to wander around the venue pretending to drop blue Party Hats with his friends. He will then say:

Say hello to YouTube!

or

Now I've got your attention, why don't you visit... for all your... needs.

The n00bs that followed him will then yell out the adjective I have been using to describe them throughout this article:

NOOB!!!

or

Can I get a copy?

The following characters will then appear on screen:

or

then

I_Am_A_N00b has been blocked for profanity. To appeal this block, don't bother.

Common bait include promises of 100k if you follow the host.

History

Drop parties were started by the user Georgie141 in 1941, 57 years before the first resemblence of RuneScape (DeviousMUD) was created (and possibly even Andrew Gower, the creator of RuneScape). Georgie141 is now dead - she was killed by a lesser demon called Mao Zedong in 1956, ironically still 52 years before DeviousMUD was created.
