The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an an action-adventure role-playing game developed by Bethesda Softworks for the Microsoft's Xbox 360, Sony's PlayStation 3, and Windows PCs that had fancy enough hardware to support it. It follows the custom-built protagonist's journey through the realm of Skyrim, which happens to be but a mere province in the realm of Tamriel. The completely optional story quests follow the protagonist's mission of defeating some Dragonlord named Alduin who wants to rule the world, according to some Elder Scrolls prophecy, though players usually abandon it midway and simply use the game as an escape from their less than stellar livelihoods.
