Brindafella is the online name of an Australian bloke from Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory. His name is "Peter". (Go on, try a little Google magic; "Brindafella" comes up all over the 'net including some very odd and non-Australian places.)

The name Brindafella comes about because Peter one day looked west- and southwest-ward from Canberra and noticed the hills called "the Brindabellas". The penny dropped for an online name, which was difficult because it was well after Australia adopted decimal currency so the pennies were few and far between, so this revelation was truly monumental.
