This is a proposal for a template similar to wikipedia:Template:Protected title, in order to provide some advantages over the current system of adding articles to UN:PT. It is designed so that it can be used to protect a page that exists rather than just nonexistent pages, but as written it is currently suitable only for the main namespace.

I am not an administrator so I cannot test this.
