Whoops! Maybe you were looking for black hole?

Chronophages are seven dimensional beings that resemble a grasshopper in three dimensions but actually eat up time and space.

We can't show you what a real chronophage looks like so Steve Jobs had Pixar make a less scary, three dimensional version for you here.

History[edit | edit source]

Chrononaughts aka time travelers have told stories of demon grasshoppers called chronophages, monsters that eat time. Eventually Stephen Hawking revealed them to the public as a figure on top of a clock.

Cartoons[edit | edit source]

Zorak of Space Ghost Coast to Coast is rumored to be a chronophage. Zorak is actually a Mantis and is a chronobug not a chronophage. The big difference is that a chronophage will eat time, while a chronobug will annoy you greatly and waste your time.

Jiminy Cricket was once thought to be a chronophage but he is too cute to be considered one, but his cousin Jiminy Grasshopper is in fact a chronophage, but was too scary for Disney to put on screen so they went with his cuter cousin instead.

In Phsyics[edit | edit source]

Some think that black holes are chronophages, and Stephen Hawking discovered chronophages while studying black holes. A black hole is a hole in our universe while the chronophage is a parasite that eats time.
