Howard Carter, English adventurer, archaeologist and Egyptologist, ran the stem of his pipe across the golden stele as he intently studied the ancient carvings. "Wearing feelings on our faces while our faces took a rest, we walked across the fields to see the children of the West, but we saw a host of dark skinned warriors standing still below the ground, waiting for battle..." he read, putting him in mind of some line from Genesis. He jotted the words down in his notebook, taking a long drag on his pipe and pondered the significance of what must be the find of the modern age.

Beside him a nervous local tried to hold the torch steady despite his growing trepidation and strong urging from the Englishman. Carter inhaled deeply on his pipe as he looked around the treasure filled room, notable for its lack of the corporeal form of any ancient Egyptian sun gods.....
