There are many reasons to try to avoid doing chores.

Chores, by very definition, are very worklike. The problem stems not from their worklike nature, however, but from the fact that they invariably need to be done, and once done, they invariably need to be done again. It is a vicious cycle, and dangerous due to the common presumption that should someone fall for doing chores once, they will then do them again the next time. With each succeeding repetition, the doer's reputation for giving in to doing chores only becomes more solid, eventually to the point where there exists no chance of escape, a point where all one's life falls down before the accumulated expectations of all of the chores others have put to the one.

Think this is nonsense? Consider the place, until recently, of women in society - expected to do all of the chores, no freedom, no power, simply because there was no time, in fact, to do anything else. Consider how this started. Consider how it exacerbated.

Needless to say, you must immediately find a way out before this vicious cycle takes hold and places you in a similar chore-laden position as the average woman.
