New Rave, Nu-Rave, Neu Rave, whatever you want to call it, new rave is shit hot right now. Contrary to popular opinion, the term was not coined OR popularised by anyone who writes for NME. The name actually applies to pretty much all indie bands around at the moment, with the exception of Klaxons, who dismissed the genre as "a pile of bullshit" (or somewhere thereabouts). Other examples of new rave include Panic! at the Disco and Enter Shikari.

Although viewed as a media construction by more cynical music fans who like to think they are superior, no-one can resist the hip shaking funk of a new rave track such as I Bet that You Look Good on the Dancefloor by Arctic Monkeys, not even you, yes you.
In recent weeks, new rave has become a hilarious joke amongst scene kids, who are frequently sighted in "SAVE THE RAVE" t-shirts, banging on about Klaxons latest single, in a supposedly ironic post modern way, when in fact they look like complete tools.
