Lawrence J. Quackenbush (born February 19, 1945) is an inventor and poet.
His inventions include the self-fulfilling prophecy generator used the power the space shuttle, the electronic table tennis paddle, the poodle skirt and the Internet.
Quackenbush is simultaneously modest and retiring and a self-promoter. He has donated all the royalties from his inventions to charity, while insisting that his name appear in flashing lights on the left side of the shuttle.
