An artist's concept of a Safety Ninja. We told him that wasn't what we meant, but he didn't listen. His funeral's next Tuesday.

The Safety Ninja are a little-known ninja organization known for helping prevent potentially catastrophic accidents. Founded in 1991 by Adrik Ivanov, a Ukranian disgusted at the Soviet response to the Chernobyl disaster, they have helped prevent many accidents that could have caused millions of lives lost. They have attracted criticism in the United States for their apparent failure to prevent 9/11 and the Iraq War, which they have responded to by saying "Eh, we can't be everywhere at once."

History[edit | edit source]

Adrik Ivanov, a former nuclear technician for the Chernobyl plant, was evacuated with the rest of the people within the accident zone soon after. ... <The dude was displaced by Chernobyl. He felt sick that his government did nothing to help them out (or maybe that was the radiation poisoning), and so took it upon himself to found an organization that would. He manages to sneak out of the USSR without anyone noticing, and is immediately sought out by Hatsumi-sama. He trained for years, then founded the organization. It's still small, but many disasters were either prevented or their blows softened because of them.>
