A Song For Uncyclopedia[edit | edit source]
Natasha Beddingfield's unholy, gutwrenching song "Unwritten" has a companion song: "UnWritten", devoted to the humorwiki Uncyclopedia and several other unholy things. Described as a pop version of a Marilyn Manson song, "UnWritten" is like the diseased uncle of "Unwritten". Unlike it's sister song, "UnWritten" is not featured on every single commercial for maxipads or shampoo or nail polish or wart remover that's on American television. Quite the contrary: "UnWritten" is featured ONLY on this page, and most likely will never be featured anywhere else.
The song, which advocates several different forms of crimes, has been, by pure coincidence, banned on exactly the same radio stations as its god-awful cousin, "Unwritten".
Lyrics[edit | edit source]
I am un-writt-en, can't read my mind, I'm un-de-fined, (13)
I'm just be-ginn-ing, the pen's in my hand, en-ding un-planned... (14)
Staring at the blank page on before me (9)
Open up the dirty window (8)
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find (14)
Rea-ching for some-thing in the dis-tance (9)
So close you can al-most taste it (8)
Re-lease your in-hi-bi-tions (7)
Feel the rain on your skin (6)
No one else can feel it for you (8)
Only you can let it in (6)
No one else, no one else (6)
Can speak the words on your lips (7)
Drench your-self in words un-spo-ken (9)
Live your life with arms wide open (7)
To-day is where your book be-gins (8)
The rest is still un-wri-tten (7)
Oh, oh, oh
I break tradition, sometimes my tries, are outside the lines
We've been conditioned to not make mistakes, but I can't live that way
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
The rest is still unwritten
The rest is still unwritten
