Great Vampire Sex Novels of the 21st Century[edit source]

Humour: 4 There was the odd chuckle. The Borat joke is repeated, lose one of them. Can't say I care for the pedophilia gags, but I guess that's a matter of taste.
Concept: 4 I'm a bit torn about the concept. On the one hand, if this sort of novel isn't worth making fun of, what is? On the other hand, you really need a lot more material. As I seem to keep telling people, when you're talking to people you know, you can rely to an extent on the "It's funny because it's true" adage. When you're talking to an unknown and diverse audience, you can't rely on that. You actually have to convince your readers that there's humour to be found in this subject. For that, you're going to have to expand on what you have here. Just off the top of my head, here's a few ideas - plot synopses (good spot for running gag), samples of prose from these novels (badly written sex scenes, perhaps?) and, if you dare, a little look at fanfic based on these novels.

Oh, and having told you to expand, you should contract the list by at least half. Or better yet, weed out the weaker titles and incorporate the rest into the article proper.

Prose and formatting: 5 Clear lucid prose. There just needs to be more of it!
Images: 5 I liked the pictures, but I wasn't blown away by the captions.
Miscellaneous: 4.5 Average of other scores.
Final Score: 22.5 This isn't a bad start. You really need to expand on the subject. I know that part of your gag is that these novels are shallow and derivative; that's no excuse for your article to be shallow and derivative. Flesh it out. let it live.
