UnTunes:Wine-writer's (Wander)lust

I ordered a glass of a new Chardonnay
for writing a column to be published in May.
I like the delicate petite to the strong arabesque scent
But I've wanted something more since I was adolescent.
Comparing wines to the human female,
Describing them with unnecessary detail.
I'd kill to have my metaphors come to life
in a flute, or a saucer, though a tumbler would cause strife.
I took a little look, then a sniff then a feel,
then it shocked my lips like an electric eel.
I derive much pleasure from doing it blindfolded
'cos when I take a peek I get a kick from being scolded.
Comparing wines...
While the body's reminiscent of a curvaceous blonde,
It has a little nose of which I'm rather fond.
You'd enjoy it well with a platter of oysters;
I'd enjoy it more nestled up my four-poster.
