UnPoetia:I Wandered Lonely Through A Cloud
Poetry for people who hate poetry |
I wandered lonely through a cloud,
Adrift through rooms and crowded halls
When all at once I blew one loud;
A mighty wind that shook the walls
Its pungent scent made all the greater,
Standing in this elevator
Continuous are the stares that show
Displeasure at my odorous way,
Wrinkled noses, glares of woe,
Expressions more than words can say
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Flee in haste from my dark-stained pants
In droves they run, a wilde stampede
The human footfalls beat the earth,
Their noses breathe my foul misdeed
They struggle long to give me berth,
I gazed--and gazed--then gave some thought
To the terror that my scent had wrought
For often on my couch I lie,
In vacant mind or pensive mood
Reflecting on my one brown eye,
Its breath that many find so rude
And dreaming of some rectal pills,
To change my scent to daffodils.
