UnPoetia:I Don't Like People Who Aren't Like Me
Poetry for people who hate poetry |
I Don't Like People Who Aren't Like Me
I don't like people who aren't like me
They make me want to scream and flee
She said, as if it meant nothing
I looked up from the car that I was buffing
Yes yes, dearest buffer, I don't like people who aren't like me
As reason first, they don't always share my glee
I flashed a look most quizzical
Yes yes, dearest buffer, us and them aren't both so geophysical
She went on to explain how much she hated people who speak French
While me, I, my thirst did quench
I nodded as if I understood
While I inspected a piece of wood
Then She hopped in her fancy sports car
And drove off to a place that can't be seen from afar
I'd probably never see her again
For here, at my shop, I shall remain
My next customer is an Arab
I don't like people who aren't like me.
