COVENTRY, United Kingdom -- A woman who enraged animal lovers across the world by dumping a cat in the wrong coloured wheelie bin said today she "thought it would be funny". 45-year-old Mary Bale sparked an angry online campaign after being caught on CCTV throwing the pet into a large green rubbish bin in the Stoke area of Coventry. "Green bins are clearly for garden waste only" read one comment; "The cat should have been put in the 'general waste' black bin" read another.

Council leader Richard Hasbrain said there was no excuse, stating, "Everybody had a leaflet delivered to their house, and the scheme has been running for nearly two years now. "

Supporters of Bale disagree with Hasbrain and argue that the rules on cat disposal are ambiguous. Local woman Shirley Spindle has long campaigned for a dedicated bin for felines, describing the whole situation as confusing. "I know the RSPCA have been arguing that people shouldn't arbitrarily put other people's living cats into wheelie-bins, but I think this would just mask the problem."

South Africa have long since been dealing with such problems. Johannesburg executive mayor Amos Masondo told UnNews how he'd spear headed the 'Body Bin' in which murderers can place their victims in a specific wheelie-bin with a picture of a bloodied victim on the side. "It's much larger and means you don't have to go through the whole unsavoury business of cutting off the arms and legs."
