Would you buy a letter from this man?

WASHINGTON D.C. -- In a move which shocked the American government, Sentor Harry Reid has been able to sell a letter from conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh for 5 cents on the popular online auction site E-Bay. The letter, addressed to Vice President Dick Cheney, president pro-tempore of the Senate, requested Reid's removal from office or, at least, a request to "shut him the hell up". Limbaugh had previously been offended by remarks made by Reid on the Senate floor calling him a "phony talk show host".

Reid claims to have been misquoted. "I was talking about ALL the conservative talk show hosts, not just Limbaugh. I don't know where he got the idea I don't support the first amendment." Reid further clarified by saying, "True talk show hosts discuss topics like 'Who is my baby's real daddy?' and 'How can I please my man in bed?'. Look at Oprah."

Limbaugh, however, was not persuaded. "How can he call me 'phony'?", Rush retorted. "I'm spouting my BS 3 hours every day! All Reid ever gets is 20 minutes whenever some Senator yields back the balance of his time."

In response to the complaints, Reid took the actual letter sent to Cheney and offered it up for auction on the internet. The winning bid closed today at $0.05(US) and a coupon for $5 off a local car wash in Bozeman, MT. Reid was not surprised. "I was hoping for more money but what can you do? Nobody wants anything written by that fat ass."
