Nathan better go through some real hell this time! I bought a whole new console just to bring him out of retirement!

In its recent PlayStation experience event, acclaimed game developer and Sony acolyte Naughty Dog unveiled a 15-minute gameplay demo of their upcoming new instalment in the Uncharted series, named Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, which chronicles the adventures of series protagonist Nathan Drake, as he comes out of retirement from insanely dangerous treasure-hunting to do..well...more insanely dangerous treasure-hunting. The demo showcased a vast forested area, and how Nathan Drake manoeuvred about it by jumping, grabbing onto things, and using a pickaxe to grab onto ledges and stuff. It also showed him trying to stealthily avoid enemy patrols, failing, and then shooting them down as a result. You know, the usual stuff that happens in every Uncharted game.

However, what audiences did not expect to see was a knowing acknowledgement of the fact that this was a PS4 exclusive that would set most Uncharted fans back by a lot of money, since the earlier Uncharted games have been PS3 exclusives. Amongst the dialogue that Nathan Drake uttered during his journey, several one-liners stood out, including ones such as "I thought the bush would look more believable this time around.", "This really doesn't feel that different from what I've already been through." and "Somebody somewhere must be paying a lot of money to make me go through all this. And I mean a LOT of money."

These, and many other knowing jabs at the game's PS4 exclusivity were met by raucous laughter and applause by the fans who attended the event, all of them only too aware of how much more money they were going to, or already had, thrown at their beloved megacorporation. Even as it continues to outsource jobs because even a 500 million dollar profit margin isn't good enough for them.

Also, there was a neat little revelation that Nathan would be running into his older brother in the game, despite the fact that said brother has never even been hinted at before this, but let's face it, the jabs at the PS4 exclusivity were clearly the highlight of the event.
