The controversy surrounding popular gaming website Machinima.com's business practices intensified on Wednesday, with a thug who claims to be in their employ being arrested and charged with breaking and entering, assault, and criminal intimidation.
According to witnesses, this thug, who calls himself Apex, barged into a resident's home Wednesday morning and proceeded to pour gasoline all over the place and the resident. When said resident exclaimed "What the fuck!", the thug replied:
"THIS is the fuck, my soggy friend! You are out of business. Your PlayStation 3 is out of business. All the future playthroughs and reviews on your channel will go through 343 Industries, or they ain't going!"
With the resident, who runs a popular gaming channel on YouTube, left quaking in his gasoline soaked boots, Apex walked out, only to be arrested almost immediately after stepping outside the house.
During interrogation, Apex confessed to being an employee of Machinima. He has also confirmed that the 343 Industries he referred to in his threat were indeed the current producers of the Halo video game franchise.
Police are reportedly working out a plea deal with Apex, with the hope that they will finally have the evidence they need to successfully prosecute Microsoft and Machinima, both of whom have allegedly been on their radar for ages.
Microsoft and Machinima were unavailable for comment
