CAIRO -- In a landmark ruling Egypt’s secular court has passed the death sentence for the leader of the now-banned Muslim Brotherhood and all its members, estimated to be about 600,000 supporters, state television said on Monday. The same court also handed down a final capital punishment ruling for 37 others who occupied terrorist leadership roles in the same organization
Charges in both the cases were tried by the same judge, viz., His Honor Abdul-Fattah el-Sisi, who is also the desert nation’s defense minister and the military officer who led last summer’s takeover of the lowly and unpopular elected government. El-Sisi ousted the Morsy led theocracy, whose only goal was to establish Sharia Stone Age law, much to the chagrin of the other 80,000,000 Egyptians who worship the high-headed military since the age of the The Anunnaki, whose name means "Those who from the heavens came to earth” -- a superior race of Aliens carved in stone, whose descendants still rule the ancient land.
Judge el-Sisi formally announced on Wednesday that after ridding the earth of the scourge of Egypt’s version of the Muslim Brotherhood, he will be resigning from the army and running uncontested as president for life -- a move clearly showing his intent to consolidate his power – which, all things considered, is not a shabby idea.
All this righteous punishment seems to be related to violent riots, which broke out in the central Egyptian city of Minya in August, including the murder of a belligerent policeman, who had used a flamethrower on the crowds, rather than heartlessly spraying them with tear gas.
Mohammed Badie, the Brotherhood’s head honcho, is among supporters of ousted President Mohamed Morsy whose death sentences are final. The case has now been referred to the nation's Grand Mufti, Egypt's highest secular religious authority, to carry out the imposition of justice. In other words, they must arrange to execute the condemned according to rules of civility through the use of simple stones. Stones are cheap and reusable implements, and the public can do all the work.
In another case relating to 529 Muslim Brotherhood supporters sentenced to death last month, the judge upheld all but 3 death sentences. The rest saw their sentences upgraded to interrogation by Agent Jack Bauer in the new season of 24.
Egypt has faced unending turmoil since the Jihadist uprising that democratically toppled longtime leader Hosni Mubarak in 2011. But ever since the army removed the Brotherhood from power last July, the country has suffered the worst internal strife in its modern history, as well as the highest number of death sentences ever handed down on one occasion, ever!
Morsy and other Brotherhood leaders were rounded up soon after his removal from office. Cairo's ET originated military government has branded the Brotherhood a terrestrial terrorist group, an allegation in which it exults.
