Auckland, NEW ZEALAND -- An explosion in the carpark of the Shortland Street hospital in Auckland has resulted in one death. Although the body has not formally been identified, it is believed that the fatality was Huia Samuels, the CEO of the hospital. The car belonged to Anthony Stevens, who has been involved in the pharmaceutical company, Scott-Speare.
Although tragic, scriptwriters are treating the explosion as an early Christmas present as it nicely ties up a number of untidy loose ends. Prop makers, however, are understandably distraught as an expensive funeral scene is now on the horizon.
