As soon as you walk back into the foyer you hear the sounds of several doors slamming simultaneously. The overhead lights flicker several times.

The doorway that leads to the rest of the house now has an glowing green border, strangely. As you get closer your pants seem to get baggier...odd.

The larger door on your left seems to have come unsealed.

The rug on the floor has been lifted aside, revealing a trapdoor.

On hooks above the mantlepiece hangs an elfin sword of great antiquity. Alas, it's just slightly out of reach.
