It appears that you have no choice but to use the biggest chunk of driftwood that you can find and use it as a raft to Chichagof Island. After discovering that attempting to drive and steer it with your hands is impractical, and that the ocean current pushes you off course constantly, you head back to land and find a big, fat stick of driftwood to use as an oar.
It takes about six hours of getting thrown off course, falling into the water, and nearly losing your "boat" to complete this extreme island-hopping. By the time you've actually reached Chichagof Island, you're exhausted, but practically squirming around like a worm by the end, you finally manage to make it to Elfin Cove.
