This is a very counterintuitive option, but you're apparently too much of a wimp to deal with grues again. Luckily, it doesn't seem like any of them have followed after you. However, the Aracuan war fleet from earlier seem to have instead, and the second they spot you they launch every missile available directly at your face.

You're too tired to dodge any of them, so you just get blown up in the most anticlimactic way possible.
