You're too scared to keep walking, but you've already got this far, and now you can't go back. So all you can do now is stay still out in the cold darkness. Perhaps, if you wait long enough, someone will come and rescue you. Or maybe a friendly animal will lead the way, like in a [[Disney]] movie. Whatever happens, you know you have your moccasin with you, so nothing can go wrong.

...okay, this is getting a bit boring now. You've already waited long enouth, but nothing seems to have happened. Maybe waiting wasn't that good of an idea.
