Tinnitus

Tinnitus is this condition of some so- hey, what's that ringing? Like I was saying, this condition of some sort where the person affected is affected by a sort of ringing. Speaking of, this ringing is getting a little annoying. This is going to be hell if it keeps going on like this.

Etymology

Tinnitus comes from the Latin tineae meaning "Screaming," and the Greek suffix "itus" meaning disease. Like many audial diseases, it is spelled funny as the discoverer was often belayed by the disease, and most often went crazy at some point previous.

Causes

Tinnitus is often caused by a head injury, being a dick, not eating your veggies, vigorous bouts of road rage, or a bunch of medical bullshit words n' stuff. People affected by chronic tinnitus often say it can be very annoying. Hey, that ringing is back. Man, that's getting tiring. Where the hell is it even coming from?

Symptoms

Tinnitus can be diagnosed by ringing, like THE ONE GOING ON RIGHT NOW! Sorry, this is really taking a toll. I'll try to get through it.
