We could ditch them, if someone (you) came up with another way to make the quote stand out from the page. Perhaps a special font or something. But that was the reason for the small - it caught the eye, by virtue of being different. --Famine 17:41, 22 Jul 2005 (UTC)

It is already bold italic. And small. And completely fucked up. Part of the beauty of the small size is that quotes then take up less linespace on the pages. Anyway, here are some ideas - feel free to add more. --Famine 13:54, 24 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Personally, of all of these, I like the code format the best, but it's almost smaller than the small tag. But the "big" tag around the code seems to be too big. Ideas/comments? --Famine 13:54, 24 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Is how the quotes are rendered for me (Netscape 8.0, Firefox Render Engine, looks pretty much the same using the IE Engine) I personaly prefer teh code or tt tag as it's diffrent and not too large and still readable --Elvis 16:24, 25 Jul 2005 (UTC)

This is also with Firefox (1.0.6), but on a 19" LCD with font sizes increased, so I can read them. ;) I believe the difference has to do with a "minimum text size" setting. Now that I understand your problem (thanks for the sshot, it made a world of differnce) I think the "code" tag is our best bet. Do you concur? --Famine 16:55, 25 Jul 2005 (UTC)

I switched to Code, and I also put a dotted blue border around the quotes. I don't know if this is good or not, so I left it until I get feedback from others. If we keep the blue border, the code might be unnecessary. If we ditch the blue, the code is necessary. --Famine 18:22, 25 Jul 2005 (UTC)
