Language Versions

Language versions are those related to a main version of the language. Some examples: English (en) has American English (en-us), British English (en-gb), Canadian English (en-ca), and Portuguese has (European) Portuguese (pt), Brazilian Portuguese (pt-br) and Galego (gl) (the former doesn't have the "pt-" prefix because its thesaurus are very different from the first two, which have almost the same thesaurus). Altough Wikipedia has only one main Portuguese Encyclopedia (pt), except for Galego (gl) because of it's extremely different from the other versions, I think they chose this way because the articles are understandable for both kinds of speakers (the grammar remains the same and the scientific text has the same meaning for both speakers - when not, explanation is encouraged). However, Portuguese (pt) and Brazilian Portuguese (pt-br) don't have the same thesaurus: altough they are similar to each other, there are words with different meanings between those language versions. Uncyclopedia, an humourous Encyclopedia, should have both versions, pt and pt-br because the fun and pun lines varies significantly from each one.

I created a link to the Brasilian Portuguese page and maintained the Portuguese as a redirector until someone (speaker of "pt") decides to create the "pt" page, with references to the "pt" pages, but the Brasilian Portuguese link was deleted. I hope that now I explained the reasons for separating those pages, the links will be maintained as two. --João Paulo 07:05, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

Uncyclopedia Languages

The "Template:Languages" should not have the Header and the phrase "This is the English language Uncyclopedia, started in 2005. It currently contains 17,119 articles. Uncyclopedias are also being written in many other languages:", as this template is used in others languages pages. Instead, the Uncyclopedia Main Page should have the Header and phrase before the code which calls "Template:Languages". --João Paulo 07:05, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

Monopoly as a language

Just thought it'd be funny to pretend "Monopoly" was a language. How is "Blog" a language? --Nerd42 23:53, 7 Dec 2005 (UTC)

In case you didn't notice the convention, like by actually looking, all the language pages are fake namespace prefixes. Uncyclopoly doesn't fit into that at all. These fake namespaces also allow sub-pages to be made easily using multilingual unconventions (prefixing a fake namespace). Uncyclopoly doesn't fit into that either. In that way, blog is a "Language". Also, the fake-fake ones here are mostly former or future main page themes. Look before you leap. --Splaka 00:02, 8 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Two are missing

Romanian is mixed up

Missing/broken links

The current links for Zombiepedia and Oisquipèdia are broken. The website addresses are at Zombie.wikia.com and Oisquipedia.wikia.com. Also, Uncyclopedia.km seems to have gone offline a while ago. 71.184.34.136 23:29, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Macedonian version with "Wikipedia" name!

Hello. I am an admin on the Macedonian Wikipedia and also a fan of Uncyclopedia. I was rather surprised to see that the Macedonian version of Uncyclopedia listed here is called Википедија (Wikipedia) in stead of it's real name "Нециклопедија" (meaning "Non-cyclopedia")! This has to be either a very very clumsy mistake or a very insipid joke. Can we have it changes please? Thank you very much! --B. Jankuloski 07:28, October 24, 2009 (UTC)
