I hope this uncyclopedia also permits non-American types of humor. This page may be worthless to the Americans, but may be amusing for Arabs and Europeans, especially those who have watched Star Trek.

Shouldn't it say consumerism or economic materialism instead of materialism? Materialism refers to a philosophy based on the principle that the only thing that can truly be said to exist is matter. I think what this article is referring to is the economic kind of materialism, not the philosophical kind.--69.160.169.147 21:27, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
