Denis Leary Article[edit source]

This is Teflongone001. Here is my (somewhat) first article/parody on Denis Leary. If anyone has any suggestions or criticisms, I'd like to hear it to try and improve the article. --teflongone001 08:45, 21 July 2008 (UTC)Teflongone001

Your best place for feedback is pee review. Review requests can take a few days to get actioned, but you normally get a decent amount of help and suggestions for improving. For a very quick start though: it's got promise - although it is a bit ranty, it's not as ranty as a lot of articles of this type (try to avoid direct ranting and sniping - instead of directly stating he's an asshole, try to find a way to suggest it more subtly, for instance), which shows you're heading in the right direction. Have a read of this, and try to incorporate any of the "trivia" section that you're particularly keen on into the rest of the prose. That's a quick tip, a trip to pee review should net you a bunch more. But the main tip is: keep writing - the only way to improve is to write more! Good luck... --UU - natter UU Manhole.gif 08:55, Jul 21
Thank you for the very helpful hints for the article. I just did a little more editing to smooth it out a bit, particularly the more ranting features. Unfortunately, without putting his entire comedy monologue up here, Leary does use the term "asshole" in his act repeatedly in No Cure for Cancer, sometimes around fifteen to thirty minutes straight of stating of being proud to call himself one, double-entendres, and references to smoking and cancer. I guess I was trying to get at the repetitiveness of his act. But hopefully I smoothed it out just enough in a sort of more essay-like prose regarding that element. I've also submitted this article to Pee Review and waiting for results. And thank you again for the help! --teflongone001 10:42, 21 July 2008 (UTC)Teflongone001

Open to a Rewrite[edit source]

I will no longer edit this page, and I will leave this up for a rewrite at this time. --teflongone001 17:46, 24 July 2008 (UTC)Teflongone001
