The recent changes to the article are good in that they add some new text for once, but it was a lot funnier when everything was in absurdly obfuscated faux-academic prose. The new intro sounds like a blog. A 14-year-old's blog. No offense. I just think the opening paragraph should be reduced once more to its original first sentence only. I also think it wouldn't hurt to bring back some of the repetition that made the old version look so great on the screen -- page after page of dense text.
