Here is a list of zombies. I hope you read this in order to get an idea about the rest of the article.


Notes[edit | edit source]

  • This section is INFORMATION ONLY. Do not expect it to have funny jokes.
  • HP is the amount of peas that are required to bring down the zombie.
  • Eat is if the zombie attacks by eating.
  • It takes an eating zombie 6 bites to kill a regular plant.
  • If a zombie's projectiles use "Peas" as a damage unit, the zombie takes 16 projectiles to kill a plant. If not, it will be assumed as bites and will take 6 hits to kill a plant.
  • It would be difficult to give an opinion to the zombies as in this game everything will outright kill you. Save for the regular zombie.

Zombies found in America[edit | edit source]

Zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 10 (Body)
  • Speed: 4-8 seconds per square
  • Eat: Yes
  • Degrades (amount of peas taken): 5, 10
  • Notes: Is always the first zombie that appears in the level save for specific levels.

Flag Zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 10
  • Speed: 3.5 seconds per square
  • Eat: Yes
  • Degrades: 5, 10
  • Notes: Signifies a huge wave.

Conehead zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 18 (Cone), 10 (Body)
  • Speed: 4-8 squares per square
  • Eat: Yes
  • Degrades: 7, 13, 18 (Cone is removed), 23, 28
  • Notes: will turn into a regular zombie after 18 hits.

Solar Zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 17
  • Speed: 3.5 seconds per square
  • Eat: Yes
  • Degrades: 10, 17
  • Notes: Steals sun. Sun that are about to be stolen turn red and be absorbed if not clicked on quickly. After stealing six suns, will emit a massive beam that clears an entire row of plants. Sun collector can be stolen by magnet shroom. Does not appear in England or world graveyard.

Buckethead zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 70
  • Speed: 4-8 seconds per square
  • Eat: Yes
  • Degrades: 20, 40, 60 (Bucket removed), 65, 70
  • Notes: Will turn into a regular zombie after 60 hits. Bucket can be stolen by a magnet shroom.

Zombies found in England[edit | edit source]

Kicker Zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 17
  • Speed: 2 seconds per square
  • Eat: No
  • Degrades: 10, 17
  • Notes: Upon meeting a plant, will kick it and send it off the screen, killing it. Does not affect the gianut and will die kicking it after 2 attenpts.

Football zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 90
  • Speed: 2.5 seconds per square
  • Eat: Yes
  • Degrades: 40, 60, 80 (Helmet removed), 85, 90
  • Notes: Magnet shroom can steal its helmet. Unaffected by chili bean.

Horse cavalry zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 65
  • Speed: 2 seconds per square
  • Eat: Yes
  • Degrades: 20, 40, 65, 60
  • Projectile damage: 1 bite
  • Notes: Will ride his horse and shoot plants with his rifle. The rifle does the damage equivalent of 1 bite. When it meets a plant, the horse cavalry zombie will stop shooting and the horse will start to eat the plant normally. Unaffected by chili bean and cocaine, as the horse is a robot.

Queen Zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 30
  • Speed: 1.7 seconds per square then stops at the 9th column
  • Eat: No
  • Degrades: 20, 30
  • Notes: Stops in the first column to the left and does nothing. However, Zombies on the entire screen will move 2X faster, have 2X HP and do double damage to plants. Will ignore any plant that is on its square. As a result, it is immune to chili bean and cocaine. When frozen by iceberg lettuce or the gas of chili bean, all buffs disappear temporarily. One can only appear per lane.

Ninja zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 10
  • Speed: 2.3 seconds per square
  • Eat: Yes
  • Degrades: 5, 10
  • Notes: Is invisible to plants except when eating. You can still see a shade of it.

Zomboni[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 58
  • Speed: 3 seconds per square when entering the first 3 columns of the lawn, Then decreases by every square it has passed into the lawn, up to 7 seconds per square.
  • Eat: No
  • Degrades: 23, 46, 58
  • Notes: Will crush plants with his zomboni. Unaffected by chili bean, cocaine, leech seed, iceberg lettuce, and chill effects. When a plant is planted under it, it will be crushed immedately. Will also leave an ice trail behind it when moving. Ice trails cannot be planted on and will create zombie bobsled teams. Ice trails will disappear after 30 seconds or after being burned by a jalapeno. Killed instantly by spikeweed and spikerock.

Zombie bobsled team[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 17 (Bobsled), 10 (per zombie)
  • Speed: 0.7 seconds per square (Before losing bobsled), 4-8 seconds per square (After losing bobsled)
  • Eat: yes (After losing bobsled)
  • Degrades: 10, 17
  • Notes: Only appears on ice trails. Upon entering the screen, rides a bobsled until the end of the ice trail. Once it goes to the end of the ice trail, the bobsled disappears and the zombies walk normally, being the same as a regular zombie.

Armored samurai zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 40 (Armor) 10 (Zombie)
  • Speed: 2.5 seconds per square
  • Eat: Possible (Only after losing sword)
  • Degrades: 25, 30, 40, 45, 50
  • Notes: Will charge at you with his sword and will slash your plants with it, killing it instantly. Tall-nut and gianut cannot be destroyed by the sword and will break it. The magnet shroom can steal his sword or helmet, but can only steal one at a time. Unaffected by chili bean and cocaine with his sword.

Gargantuar[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 180
  • Speed: 3 seconds per square
  • Eat: No
  • Degrades: Throws his imp after 75 hits.
  • Notes: Kills plants instantly with his smash, aside of the spikerock which absorbs 3 hits, and gianut will not be affected at all and will kill the gargantuar after 5 smashes. At 90 hit points, will throw his imp in the 3rd column to the left, and will still do so even it has gone halfway into the lawn and past the third column. If the gargantuar is past the 3rd column, it will throw his imp backwards. Merely delayed by power toss.

Imp[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 10
  • Speed: 3 seconds per square
  • Eat: Yes
  • Degrades: 5, 10
  • Notes: Thrown by gargantuars when they had taken 75 hits.

Zombies found in China[edit | edit source]

Dynamite Zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 10 (Zombie), 20 (Dynamite)
  • Speed: 4-8 seconds per square
  • Eat: Yes
  • Degrades: 5, 10
  • Notes: When destroyed, will release a dynamite in a random square in front of it in its lane. The dynamite explodes after 5 seconds and when it explodes, destroys all plants regardless of type instantly in 3X3 squares. The dynamite can be defused by chill or freeze. The dynamite cannot kill leech seeds planted on zombies, and is reignited by fireballs and snapdragon.

Digger Zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 5 (Helmet), 10 (Zombie)
  • Speed: 1 second per square
  • Eat: Yes
  • Degrades: 2,4, 5 (Helmet falls off), 10, 15
  • Notes: Tunnels from the right side to the left side of the lawn, then appears and eats plants from behind. After all plants on the lane are destroyed, will go all the way to the right side of the screen and disappear. Can be killed by explosives when underground, but an unarmed potato mine will be eaten from below. Magnet shroom will steal his pickaxe and force it to attack normally. Will not attack areas with sewage.

Hamster Keeper Zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 10
  • Speed: 2.3 seconds per square (Before Releasing hamsters), 4-8 seconds per square (After releasing hamsters)
  • Eat: Possible (After releasing hamsters)
  • Degrades: 3, 5, 10
  • Notes: Releases 100 hamsters on 3 lanes after taking 3 hits: One on top, one on bottom, and in its own lane.

Zombie hamsters[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 0.25
  • Speed: 2 squares per second
  • Eat: Yes
  • Degrades: N/A
  • Notes: Only released by hamster keeper zombies.

Sludge zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 38
  • Speed: 5 seconds per square
  • Eat: Possible (After sludge hardens)
  • Degrades: 10, 17
  • Throws sludge every 1 second
  • Notes: Throws his sludge which kills plants instantly regardless of type and also leaves a sludge trail that cannot be planted on. The sludge can be frozen by chills and freeze. Cherry bomb and jalapeno will remove the sludge. The sludge it leaves will not disappear on it's own. Can kill spikeweeds and spikerocks instantly by walking on them.

Zombies encountered in world graveyard[edit | edit source]

Zombnuke[edit | edit source]

  • HP: N/A
  • Speed: N/A
  • Eat: N/A
  • Degrades: N/A
  • Notes: Before appearing, a Reticule will appear on its landing point for 0.70 seconds and after this, will drop down and destroy all plants instantly in the 3X3 squares around the reticule. Bunker leaf can block two zombnukes from destroying plants in the 3X3 squares around it twice. After detonating, it also leaves a radioactive mark that cannot be planted on for 30 seconds, which will stack if multiple zomnukes had affected the same square. Unaffected by leech seed.

Military Zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 80 (Shield) 10 (Head Wear) 10 (Zombie)
  • Speed: 3.5 seconds per square, but since it stops for 2 seconds after transversing a square and shoots, then continues moving, so its actual speed is 5.5 seconds.
  • Eat: Yes
  • Projectile damage: 17 bites
  • Degrades: 40, 70, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100
  • Notes: Will stop every square to shoot, then eats when meeting a plant. After eating a plant, it will shoot immedately before continuing to walk. Magnet shroom will take its rocket launcher, and spikeweeds, spikerocks, spikes, fumes, and lobbed projectiles will bypass the shield.

Mime zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 50
  • Speed: 2 seconds per square
  • Eat: Possible (After electric gloves are defused)
  • Degrades: 1, 25, 45, 50
  • Notes: Imposes as another type of zombie that appears in the level (Aside of Zombnuke, Zomboni, Gargantuar, imp, Zombie bobsled team and zompanzer) when it enters the screen, and after taking 1 hit, reveals its true form and when it touches a plant, will kill it instantly by electrocuting them. Lightning reeds will defuse the gloves and chills and freeze will deactivitate the gloves as well. Gianuts take 1 bite of damage from electricity. When the imposed zombie gets hit by an instant kill, it reveals it's true form.

Zompanzer[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 444
  • Speed: 8 seconds per square
  • Eat: No
  • Degrades: 111, 222, 333, 444
  • Projectile damage: 100

Occupies 2X2 squares and shoots its projectiles in the 2 lanes it is in. Can crush any plant aside of iceberg lettuce, squash, cherry bomb and jalapeno without getting hurt, including gianuts and spikerocks. Unaffected by Butter, leech seed and power toss. A lawn mower will kill it instantly.

Peashooter Zombie[edit | edit source]

  • Eat: Yes
  • Projectile damage: 1 pea
  • Degrade: 5, 10
  • Notes: Will not shoot peas if fed cocaine. When chilled, will still shoot peas in a normal rate.

Wall-Nut zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 72
  • Speed: 4-8 seconds per square
  • Eat: Yes
  • Degrade: 24, 48, 68
  • Notes: N/A

Tall-Nut zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 144
  • Speed: 4-8 seconds
  • Eat: Yes
  • Degrade: 37, 74, 115
  • Notes: Killed in one hit by chili bean and cocaine.

Melon-pult Zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 10
  • Speed: 4-8 seconds
  • Eat: Yes
  • Degrade: 5, 10
  • Projectile damage: 4 peas (Direct hit), 1.5 peas (Splash)
  • Notes: Projectile lobs over the first plant unless it is a gianut. Can directly hit plants inside pumpkins. Will not shoot melons when fed cocaine. Can hit low plants.

Imitater Zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 50 (Before it transforms)
  • Speed: 3.6 seconds per square
  • Eat: No (Before it transforms)
  • Degrade: 45, 50 (Before it transforms)
  • Projectile damage: Depends on transformed plant
  • Notes: When meeting a plant, will transform into either one of the following zombies: Peashooter zombie, Wall-nut zombie, tall-nut zombie, Melon-pult Zombie, Squash zombie, Jalapeno zombie, Beet zombie, fume-shroom zombie, Gloom shroom zombie. After then it acts the same as the respective zombie.

Squash zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 10
  • Speed: 3.5 seconds per square
  • Eat: No
  • Degrade: 5, 10
  • Notes: When meeting a plant, squashes his head onto the plant taking down the plant with it. Can kill any plant aside of cherry bomb, Jalapeno, squash, and leech seed.

Jalapeno zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 20
  • Speed: 4.6 seconds per square
  • Eat: Yes
  • Degrade: 10, 20
  • Notes: Will explode and destroy a lane of plants after 15 seconds. Will not explode if affected by cocaine. Can destroy any plant when timed right, aside of leech seed.

Beet zombie[edit | edit source]

  • HP: 10
  • Speed: 4-8 seconds per square
  • Eat: Yes
  • Degrade: 5, 10
  • Projectile damage: 2 peas
  • Notes: Headbutts plants which are in 1 square ahead. Cannot hit low plants and leech seed.

Fume-shroom zombie[edit | edit source]

  • Speed: 4-8 seconds per square
  • Eat: Yes
  • Degrade: 5, 10
  • Projectile damage: 1 pea
  • Notes: Projectile can pierce through any plant and hit plants in pumpkins directly.

Gloom-shroom zombie[edit | edit source]

  • Speed: 4-8 seconds per square
  • Eat: Yes
  • Degrade: 5, 10
  • Projectile damage: 1 per pea (X4)
  • Notes: Projectile can pass through pumpkins. Can hit plants in the 3X3 squares around it.

  • Speed: Stationary, then 5 seconds per square after there are no plants on the lawn.
  • Eat: No
  • Degrade: 111,222,444
  • Missile firing rate: 5 per 3 seconds
  • Missile Power: 600 bites
  • Notes: When stepping onto the lawn, will occupy the front 2X2 squares and fire 5 missiles that destroy all plants in a 3X3 range. Bunker Leaves can block 2 missiles. After there are no plants on the lawn, it will move and run over plants only to stop when you have a plant in the lawn. Can run over even Spikerocks.

Treasure Yeti[edit | edit source]

  • Speed: 3 seconds per square
  • Eat: No
  • Degrade: 20, 35, 40
  • Notes: Teleports away after 4 seconds. If it meets a plant it teleports away as well. Can only be seen in random events.
