This is a guide to dragon training, which is get it to trust you, then get it to listen to you and finally get a saddle to ride it and look badass.

Step 1[edit | edit source]

Step 1 is to get the dragon to trust you. Ways to do so include feeding it fish, freeing it from dragon trappers or doing its sidequest, which can be simple like gathering 3 salmon or as hard as scaling a mountain of deathstone, which makes anything that touches it die. The deathstone quest is impossible, trust me. A dragon’s trust is needed to get it to be trainable. Some dragons never trust human beings at all. They are considered untrainables.

Step 2[edit | edit source]

Step 2 is to get it to listen to you. Positive reinforcement is recommended, but negative can work. Some dragons have special abilities you must be able to get them to use on your command. The larger dragons that are over 30 feet tall need a spinning stick since they may not hear you. Those ones are often avoided due to them needing far more food than the average dragon and being the size of a fucking island.

Done?[edit | edit source]

Once those steps are achieved, you can get a saddle if it is big enough to be ridden. A dragon’s loyalty will know no bounds and they always will help you. Take to the skies, new dragon riders!
