Homo sapiens vampiris is a subspecies of human native to australia. These humans, commonly lumped in with vampires are rather a distinct type of homo sapiens originating from humanity's first foray into an unknown continent. They then spread to other continents from their point of origin, largely settling in eastern europe.

History[edit | edit source]

Origins[edit | edit source]

Vampirises originated when the first humans landed in Australia. Via a well documented evolutionary process called Australification, the humans that set foot on the island turned venomous, the most common result of such an evolutionary process. These humans were the first members of this subspecies.

Coming of the Aborigines[edit | edit source]

When the aborigines arrived, there was a great war between the native vampirises and native australians. The Aboriginal people were able to drive the Vampirises out of Australia, and these venomous humans were then forced to wonder the world looking for a place to settle

Biology[edit | edit source]

Apart from the regular human traits, members of Homo sapiens vampiris are recognisable by their snakelike fangs that are used to deliver venom.

Teeth[edit | edit source]

The teeth are by far the most recognisable facet of vampiris. Their teeth are known to be similar to snake fangs in an example of convergent evolution. These fangs evolved from the human canine teeth. Like other members of the Homo genus, these fangs are not an example of sexy dimorphism

Venom[edit | edit source]

The venom of the subspecies is rather peculiar as it is known to include sperm reproductive viri. A member of the vampiris subspecies will not be able to make venom until they reach puberty. In addition, nazi experements involving castration performed on the individuals in eastern europe suggest that the production of the venom takes place in the sexual organs, which would explain the high rate of infertility within populations of the subspecies.

It is known that the venom of H.s. vampiris has some strange properties. For example, the venom is able to kill all known animals and some plants upon injection, except for humans. It is believed that the members of the subspecies would draw the venom out of their fangs to use on arrows since those were simply much better for hunting. It is thanks to this human immunity that H.s. vampiris venom has been used as the method of killing in some vegan slaughterhouses
